New Hatt Diamond Amenity?

I recently stay at the Hyatt Place Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga and was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room.

Waiting for me in the room was a platter filled with two apples, a banana, a bag of chips, two very large cookies and a bottle of water.

There was also a personalized note from the Assistant General Manager.

All of these were a nice touch.

Is this a new amenity for Hyatt Diamond Members, or was just this something new for this hotel.

I have stayed at this property numerous times over the years but have never been given a welcome amenity.

If this is something new for Diamond Members for properties such as Hyatt Place or Hyatt House, then it improves things to the same level as Marriott gives their Platinum Members when staying at Courtyard properties as you are usually given a bag of chips, a granola bar, a candy bar, a piece of fruit and a bottle of water.

Has anyone else experienced this lately?
