Entrance |
The
Andaz Wall Street sits on the corner of Wall Street and
Water Street, conveniently located in the Financial District.

Lobby |
As you enter the hotel, the lobby is open and spacious. It is somewhat dimly lit. The check-in desk is located to the
left. I was immediately greeted upon
entering the hotel, my bags were taken by the host and taken to the check-in
area.
My Hyatt Diamond status was immediately recognized, and all
benefits were clearly explained. I was
upgraded to an Extra Large King Room, which is a Junior Suite.

Living Room |

View to Bedroom |
Upon entering the hotel, there is a small living room with
sofa, two sitting chairs, coffee table and TV.
The TV cabinet/closet separates the living room from the bedroom.

C. O. Bigelow Amenities |
As you walk towards the bedroom, the bathroom is to the
left. The toilet, sink area, and
shower/tub area are all separate. The
shower and bathtub are in their own enclosed space. The tub is oversized and would probably take
30 minutes to fill.

Desk |
In the bedroom area is an elongated desk area with the TV at
the far end of the desk. The mini-bar is
located under the TV, with the usual complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic
drinks that are available at all Andaz properties. On the other side of the TV is a large mirror
that would be perfect for women when doing their make-up.

Bed |
The bed is very comfortable with a nightstand on either side
of the bed. Electronic controls for the
lights, thermostat and window shades are mounted on the wall on each side of
the bed.

View From Room |
The room is spacious and has many windows. Although there are blackout shades, they only
do a decent job of keeping out all of the light. My room overlooked Water Street.
The area is fairly deserted on the weekends, and many shops,
restaurants and businesses have been closed due to Hurricane Sandy, which is
very unfortunate. Hopefully some of the businesses
in the area will be able to bounce back and re-open in the near future.
I would definitely come back to the Andaz Wall Street
again. Prices are significantly lower on
the weekend, as the area is primarily focused on business during the week.
